Terms of Service
The agreement between you and TattooGen when you use this site and its tools.
Last updated: October 28, 2026.
1. What TattooGen Provides
TattooGen provides AI-assisted tattoo design tools: a design generator, an ideas library, a virtual try on, a stencil maker and related planning tools. The service is live and growing, which means features, limits and availability can change as we improve it.
2. Designs Are Concepts
Every design TattooGen produces is a concept and a planning aid. It is not finished tattoo artwork. A licensed, professional tattoo artist must review, redraw and approve any design for your body, size, placement and skin before it is tattooed. TattooGen is not responsible for the outcome of any tattoo based on a generated concept.
3. Your Use of Designs
- Designs you generate are yours to use for your own personal tattoo planning, including sharing them with your tattoo artist.
- Reference images you upload or link must be yours to use. Do not submit material that infringes someone else’s copyright or rights.
- AI output can occasionally resemble existing artwork. If a generated design looks close to an existing tattoo or artwork, treat it as inspiration and ask your artist to make it your own.
4. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the tools to create content that is hateful, harassing, or promotes harm.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse engineer the service, or bypass free usage limits.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.
5. Free Designs and Paid Plans
The service offers a free design allowance: guests get tokens each month without signing up, and free accounts get a larger monthly allowance. Pro plans, with the prices shown on the pricing page, open with the public launch. Until payments open, no charges are made and no plan is active. When plans launch, they will be billed through Stripe, will renew as described at checkout, and can be cancelled anytime, with access continuing to the end of the paid period. See the Refund Policy for refunds.
6. Health and Safety
Tattooing involves real health risks, including infection and allergic reaction. Nothing on this site is medical advice. Follow the guidance of your artist and qualified health sources, such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, and consult a health professional with any concern.
7. Availability and Liability
We work to keep TattooGen accurate and available, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, TattooGen is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or its designs.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service grows, in particular when payments launch. The current version on this page is the one that applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
